Yo FunkyBoss, don't take this the wrong way but I noticed some distortion on your latest compilation and decided to have a closer look, so I opened the whole album in Sound Forge. It turns out that the left side is much louder than the right and therefore is distorting as it's going over 0 db and clipping. That's on all the tracks as well, so I reckon you might have forgotten to check the left/right balance on your mixer, or (worst case scenario) you have a mixer, lead or soundcard problem. Just trying to help, mate. Absolutely wicked selection of tracks anyway. Groove on!

ReplyDeleteAgree that the quality is absolutely inappropriate but i found these tracks in the Internet and the aim was only to show what was hidden =) I recommend buying LPs =)
Oh, I just assumed you owned all these on vinyl, hence my concern that there might have been some technical problem that you might have not been aware of. I do collect vinyl and buy watever I can, although it is a little more difficult in the UK where we don't get as much choice. I do actually have my own records pressed on vinyl as I'm an independent record producer and have also been fighting the 'save the vinyl' battle for a long time. I didn't mean to imply anything else but the possibility of an unnoticed technical issue tainting any future recordings of yours.
